A Message to Keep People Housed Supporters

To the amazing supporters of Family Tree and the “Keep People Housed” Campaign,

We are deeply grateful for your generosity and swift response to our urgent call to help keep people housed. This campaign began out of necessity—we had not received communication regarding the Family Tree HUD Brookview program award and contract, yet rent was due for our clients. Without the critical rental assistance provided through this contract, many faced the real possibility of eviction and even homelessness. In response, Family Tree took decisive action, reaching out to you—our supporters and partners—to ensure that didn’t happen.

And you stepped up. Together, we kept people housed.

Now, the great news: On March 24, we received word from HUD that a contract should be coming! When that contract does come, it means our Brookview program clients can remain housed as this HUD contract continues, providing them with the stability they need.

However, our work is far from over. There is still a great need for support – not just for our housing programs, but across all of Family Tree’s services. Our mission is to prevent and overcome the interconnected issues of child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness to promote safety, healing and stability across generations. Even in uncertain times, Family Tree remains steadfast in our commitment to those in need, and we can do so because of compassionate individuals like you.

If you have donated, at this time, we kindly ask that you let us know how you would like us to allocate your donation. We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to direct your generous contribution to other critical Family Tree programs, including housing. Simply reply to this message and indicate whether you would prefer your donation to be used where it’s needed most, toward housing, or for a specific program of your choice. If we don’t hear from you by April 1, we will gratefully direct your donation to where it is needed most.
