Lowes Heroes to renovate Family Tree Parenting Time Program Center
Lowe’s volunteers offer time, skills to refloor and paint nursery room, expand back yard

WHAT:                  Twenty Lowe’s Heroes from North Lakewood will volunteer their time and skills Monday to take down a wall, put new flooring in and repaint the nursery room at the Family Tree Parenting Time Program.  Lowe’s Heroes will also clean up a section of the yard to make it kid-friendly, expanding the center’s backyard area.  The center sees 250 children under the age of 9 each month, allowing them to spend time with a parent during court-appointed time.

Lowe’s Heroes is a company-wide volunteer initiative that offers Lowe’s employees the opportunity to work on a project in their own neighborhood, helping to make their communities better places to live, work and play.

WHEN:                  Monday August 21

                              9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE:                1777 Kipling Street

Lakewood, CO 80215

PHOTO OPP:        Lowe’s Heroes and The Family Tree volunteers will be available to comment on the project’s benefits to the local community.
