Daniels Fund awards grant to Family Tree
 

Daniels Fund awards $200,000 grant to Family Tree

Wheat Ridge, CO…Family Tree announced today that it has received a grant from the Daniels Fund to continue providing life-changing services designed to help homeless individuals and families gain self-sufficiency. The Daniels Fund grant will specifically be used to fund programs related to stabilization and support for those experiencing homelessness by helping with housing navigation and placement services, as well as education and employment counseling. The program is expected to positively impact over 1,000 people in the metro area.

Family Tree CEO Scott Shields, stated “The Daniels Fund Grant will help Family Tree continue providing vital services to those experiencing homelessness in our community. Family Tree deeply appreciates the commitment the Daniels Fund has made to our organization, the people we serve, and to our community.”

Within the last year, Family Tree provided services to nearly 26,000 people in the Denver metro area. Family Tree administers an array of direct services to those affected by child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and homelessness including: in-depth and comprehensive case management, emergency residential care, housing navigation services, education and employment counseling, crisis hotlines, along with ancillary support to assist clients in achieving and maintaining economic independence. Family Tree also operates both a domestic violence crisis line and homelessness hotline.
