Denver...Nestlé Purina, a global manufacturer of pet products with a manufacturing facility in Denver, presented a $10,000 gift to Family Tree (February 5th), a local non-profit organization working to address the interconnectedness among child abuse and neglect, domestic violence and homelessness. Last year, Family Tree provided services to nearly 24,000 people in the Denver metro area.
Family Tree administers a wide array of direct services and outreach programs to those affected by these issues including: emergency residential facilities, in-depth and comprehensive case management, legal advocacy, prevention programs, safe visitation, parenting support, career counseling, crisis hotlines, as well as many other services to help individuals and families achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.
Family Tree’s chief executive officer, Scott Shields stated, “We are deeply grateful for Nestlé Purina’s generous gift to Family Tree. Nestlé Purina has a long standing reputation for not only caring about pets in our community, but for the people who live here as well.”
Nestlé Purina’s Denver facility manager, Louis Thomas, said, “Nestlé Purina is committed to supporting the communities where we live and work, so we are happy to be provide this grant to Family Tree to help them continue to transform the lives of the individuals in Denver who need their assistance.”
